i'm totally with you on this one, man. I have one of those foam hands u get at football games with the pointer finger pointing up and it sais PACK...(for NCSU)...but i've often thought about it meaning pack 4 heaven..and kinda going along with what you were saying....we don't need anything for heaven..but we do need to throw off the things that would hinder us.

Ephesians 5:8-9

For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light, 9for the fruit that the light[c] produces consists of every form of goodness, righteousness, and truth.

In addition to the interpretation that you gave here, I also took this another way. If as Christians, we are to 'Live as children of light' should we not 'pack light' each day as we set out on our journey? So, when we 'throw off all that hinders', we make room to pack light instead of packing darkness.

So, if my baggage is the earthly body that I am to carry here. I can fill this baggage with light or darkness. Your two words backed by scripture slams home the point...
