#Workoutwednesday: ft. @matmuller20 & @mitchmuller
"It ain’t over till it’s over"
I recently found a picture of myself from ten years ago… I was 20+ lbs heavier, constantly getting sick & fed up with the way I looked.
I’ve always loved athletics & sports but was never super gifted in them.. Bascially I was good enough to be on the team but not good enough to start.
I had to work extraordinarily hard to catch up to those around me & yet even with tons of hardwork it usually amounted in minimal gains in strength and speed.
I heart .. But heart can only take you so far in athletics… Which brings me back to the picture that I found..
I compared them with where I am now.. While I’m not where I want to be I’m certainly not where I used to be.
I’ve come to realize that growing in our walks with God is very similar.. Some of us grow slowly.. It takes us a while to overcome habits and sin that hold us up but that doesn’t mean we quit.
But as I continue to grow I remeber this verse to motivate me..
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, (Philippians 3:13 NIV)
Don’t give up! Go for all that you can in God today…
