its dark and early....

What up yall?

it's currently dark: 30 outiside... (this is an inside joke, my old football coach used to say he was gonna keep us out till dark: 30  until we got the play right  .. meaning very early or very late @ night) and I'm deciding to be proactive about this blog this week as I looked over last week and realized how all over the place it was...

SORRY.

Last week it seemed like I spent the whole week trying to not get over the exhaustion of the previous weeks drivings, no sleep etc.. I apologize... Either way the dude is back like sideburns and I'm here to get this blog jump off up and rolling... w/ no further ado .. here we go.
Target:

Ok call me crazy but Target just seems like a reinvention of K-mart... and don't get me wrong I love Target.  Actually in my equations it would go      Target > Walmart > K-mart.  But realistically when I walk around in there I feel like I'm basically in 1994 K-mart and a blue light special will be going off any minute now... I guess I'm scarred from k-mart as it was huge cut down for me when I was a kid i.e "where'd you get those shoes ... K-mart blue light special?".  Kids can be cruel this is true....  this is why i no longer refer to target as target but ......   tarjet...(say it all french like).

 Painted on eyebrows:

Ok ok... i understand maybe if your eyebrows fell out or you accidentally shaved them off (been there done that).... but I DONT UNDERSTAND why you would personally shave your eyebrows off and then draw em back on.  YOUR NOT FOOLING ANYONE.... maybe I'm being too critical?  But seriously like what happens if it rains and you go outside.... "mommy... why is that ladies eyebrows running down here face?"   LOL.  Either way there is something strangely creepy about drawn on sharpie marker eyebrows...

Cold Florida weather:

YES!! It’s finally turning slightly colder… gotta rock the jacket that I’ve worn once this year etc..  it’s a refreshing change no doubt…  except I do miss wearing my flip flops down to the store (no I don’t get out the car w/ em on) but overall it’s a very nice change up.

Blackberry cell phones:

Ok… my blackberry isn’t the most flashy, it’s got no music in it, it doesn’t make anyone go “where’d you get that?”.  In fact, most blackberry’s are just for business peoples etc.. but I have to say I love mine for the sheer fact that it’s INDESTRUCTIBLE!  I have dropped it, kicked it, stepped on it, ran it over (ok not really) but last night I did the worst yet…  I left it outside all night!  Not on purpose of course… but after charging it that night.. that bad boy is still running like nobody’s business!  Take that iphone…  Even though it looks like it’s been through a washing machine it’s still running..!

Text messaging:

I love to text as much as the next 12 year old but I find myself spending more time on one conversation texting that I could’ve handled in two minutes on the phone… have we become this impersonal that our whole converstational skills is summed up in a two line LOL, BRB, TTYL, WBS speak?  Ah well…

TTYL.

whats up dog.? just gotta tell ya man, love what you're doin. Been a huge fan for about 5 years now.. ha even had ya sign a couple easy cheeze cans i had at sonshine fest in Minnesota while back. and i've never been more impressed with an artist than i am with you. I'm impressed with your talent in progression.. It gets old seein artists of 10 years of makin records and no progression, where u can pinpoint exactly what the next albums sound will be.. Mad Props there man. Also am impressed with no matter how much older i get and as time goes by i can always relate to any KJ album. You hit it on any level.. I come from a strong christian household but have always been kinda the oddball.. makin bad choices and doin wrong things.. never could measure up to my other family members.. but thanks to ur albums, voice, and gods word flowin thru you, you have helped me overcome many obsticals and helped me make better choices.. just wanted to say thinks
Much Luv Dog...

what love means to 4-8 year olds
written by adam, January 17, 2008

What l ove means to a 4-8 year old . . Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes.
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined See what you think:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'

Billy - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'

Karl - age 5
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'

Chrissy - age 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'

Terri - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'

Danny - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.
My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'

Emily - age 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'

Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'

Noelle - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'

Tommy - age 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'

Cindy - age 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'My mommy loves me more than anybody
You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'

Clare - age 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'

Elaine-age 5
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'

Chris - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'

Mary Ann - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then send it on to five other people, including the one who sent it to you. Within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

P. S. Five is good, but more is better. smilies/grin.gif
