I miss my laptop..

 YO YO YO.

I'm sad right now.. I feel like my best friend is in the hospital... and truly my best friend (sort of)is out of commission... NO I"M NOT TALKING ABOUT MY DOG.. it's my laptop.

I took a redeye flight home on sat night/sun am and after getting a whopping 3 hrs of sleep from Denver to Atlanta I was so out of it I left my charger to my laptop in the Delta Crown Room in Atlanta.  No charger means no charge to my laptop and no laptop means my best friend is out of commission.... Sad face...

I do the majority of my work on my laptop due to me traveling so much and even though I've got a desktop computer at home (obviousy since I'm doing my blog here) everything syncs from my laptop basically.  So here I sit unable to update my ipod.. .access the stuff on my desktop from laptop and certainly can't sit out on my porch and surf youtube for videos of people dressing there cats up (j/k I would never do that... ferrets maybe..).  The thing that is jacked about it is that Delta has my charger ... they actually found it and I can't get anyone to call me back to send it back to me... I WISH I WASNT SO FORGETFULL SOMETIMES.  It's such a character flaw that I have... ah well.. what you gone do?

Today is president's day... so go out there and dress up as your favorite president.  Me?  I sitting here right now typing this w/ an abe lincoln beard on...

So w/ that visual in your mind... here is my weekly observations....

Blank voice mails:

This drives me nuts.. do you ever have family/friends who call you and leave blank voice mails?  I'm talking about the type where there phone accidentally dials you and you get a wonderful 3 minute voice mail on your phone of them...

a. driving in the car

b. in the background scrambling around

c. carrying on a pointless conversation w/ someone...

d. static...

I get so many of these and rather than hanging up or deleting them I find myself sitting there 2 minutes into it expecting them to say something to me...  STOP ACCIDENTALLY RINGING ME!

Sharing a desert:

I'm sorry.. this is something 2 men should never do... Coupled w/ the fact that germs are now being transferred LOL... it's kind of like one of those unwritten "man" rules... which is funny cause 2 girls can share a desert n/p.  A guy and girl can share one n/p but I'm telling you if anyone of my male freinds said "bring us some ice cream and 2 spoons"  I'M out of here... LOL.

Carrying a woman's purse:

I am convinced there is no manly way to carry a purse if you're a guy.  My wife had the pleasure of asking me to carry her purse after church as she was downstairs and I was upstairs and I had to bring it down to her.  Ladies... there is nothing more demeaning than trying to figure out a manly way to carry a purse...  I finally gave up and clutched it above the top.. which realistically was just as bad... ah well what are you gonna do?

Currently reading:  Luke 1 (and it's not even Christmas!)

LOL actually that thing about sharing desert now reminds me of you in two ways:
-this blog
-the Revolve tour, where my bff and I only had enough cash altogether to buy a small cup of ice cream (but we're girls so thats okay) and you were performing either b4 or after...not sure which...
Too bad about the laptop thing! I know I can't stand it when my primary computer can't work. Hope you find a way to get that charger.
Lotsa love to you 2, kj!

Your friend and sister in Christ,
Tia

About that charger.
written by dustin, February 19, 2008

Well not sure what kind of laptop it is but I work for dell xps dep. and I know we would just send you out another one for free under warranty. If another company makes your computer you might just need to call them up and ask. You never know. Dell ships out there stuff next day but we says it will take 3 to 5 business days. Good luck with that KJ and if you ever buy a dell make sure its a xps and not others. All the support comes from us here in good old america.
That would be cool one day on the phones and getting a call from kj52 himself. Everyone would be like who? Not I, no one in utah knows you well not no one but still a lot more mormons then christians. If your coming to town let me know and i'll help you get the word out. Peace!

Wow, i wouldn't know what to do without my laptop. It's my extra arm. I actually got the memory upgraded recently. I didn't want to do it because it was too much of a hassle so I had the "Geek Squad" do it. They return my computer w/ out the recharger. I didn't notice till I got home because I though it was in the big bag of crap they gave me. It was very annoying. Something tells me they lost it because the one they gave me is loose. Ah well, what can you do?

I never thought about the whole Ice Cream thing. I have three sisters though and I share Ice cream all the time. I never though about two guys sharing ice cream. I guess it's been fully established as a girl thing to do that anyway else is kind of weird.

Anyways hope you get your recharger. You should go to the computer store and see if there's a similar recharger for you. The stats for the recharger that you need is usually listed on the bottom of your computer. Giving the voltage and the size, etc. Not sure if they'd have it, here we have something called "Fry's Electronics". It's like computer heaven. It's huge store where there's stuff in there that I can uses to buld a motherboard from scratch. lol

Well, Enough geek speak. Talk to you later! smilies/smiley.gif

YO YO YO!!! How are you doing? I just saw you at the revolve tour in Denver! You are so amazing! Your song fanmail makes me cry, because I can relate to the girls who you sing about. You brought me so much closer to God. I am so thankful for you.

Anyways, about the laptop. I am getting a laptop but I don't know what kind to get. What kind of laptop do you have? smilies/grin.gif

Carrying Purses
written by anthony hockenberry, February 19, 2008

hey, i know EXACTLY how you feel about the purses. i go to a vocational school and i'm a senior in high school. anyway, i'm in culinary arts and we run a restaraunt on top of learning how to cook so we get an all around experience running a restauant. my female friends always trust me with their purses and such and asked me to get them their purses every now and then. i'm normally fine with it, however i was a waitor recently when i had to fetch a purse. i had to walk out in the public eye holding a purse and the whole time before i got to the door to the dining room, i was messing with it, trying to find the most manly way to carry it. point blank, there is none. lol. it stinks. smilies/cheesy.gif

hehe...u always make me laugh

Very True
written by Jason Byers, February 22, 2008

Just when you think you have everything you left with, you end up forgetting something... EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!! Don't you love that!!!!!
The purse thing, yeah, my husband is OK with it... for the most part. He just holds it and stands there in the most manly way possible. I generally don't make it a point to have him hold it or carry it and most of the time, he just won't do it. I guess it's an underwritten law for guys to keep their masculinity pure. smilies/undecided.gif
The cell phone things is soooooooooooooooo-oo true. Yeah, my Father-in-law was really bad about that with the phone he used to have. You never knew what was going on and I'd always hang up and call him right back and remind him not to put his phone in his pocket when he's sitting. Love them long, meaningless messages and blank duh's that just so happen to end up on the other end.

Love your music and the Message you represent!
Peace!

My wife and I, gave our foster daughter (11) the gift of the Revolve tour in Houston... our foster daughter "Des" has seen life at it's worst and sadly for quite a while... but she's been placed in our home for 1.5 years now, and we hope she stays forever... we love her dearly... she has "recovered" so well from all things horrible in her past... and now is one of the most grounded people I know... well... her 12th birthday is coming next month, but we surprised her with tickets to the Revolve Tour in Houston... I don't think she knew what to expect... you know the drill... christian music isn't the same... but she is so gracious that she smiled and thanked us... but either way, I knew she would have fun... well, during your part of the concert, last night, my wife text messaged me and say she and her friends were jumping screaming, singing and fully enjoying the moment... I couldn't help but lose it... alone in my home, our other foster daughter sleeping... and I lost it... the thought that she had made it from a horrific past to celebrating a moment of fun, of praise, of life... I owe you... the price of the tickets was for the event, but how you made that somber little child, light up... priceless. I know her soul is saved, but her spirit needed help... My wife had never seen her smile and rejoice like that... ever.

But at the same time it made me reflect... on my own life... I feel guilty for wasting 41 years of my life on myself... and without Christ. I only ask God that I be given the chance to live long enough to TRY to help more kids... We often see/hear in movies/tv that when somebody saves another's life, they owe them their own... Christ did that for us, and yet for 39.5 years... I've missed the opportunity to return the favor... I know we have done the right thing with her, but that's only just 1.5 years of my life... seems ashame to have wasted the other 39.5 years... I have some catching up to do... thanks for giving her something to cheer about, something to see and believe in... Christianity is easier in groups...and your music, last night, did something we haven't be able to do... keep up the great work... and yes... I love your music as well... sorry 'bout your laptop power cable... I think you run mac's so down here in Austin, we Dell folks wouldn't be able to help out much there, but we would have tried. smilies/wink.gif

Hope to see you in Austin someday... or maybe we'll catch you in San Antonio (Seaworld) in May....
